Good to know Jews, Muslims, and Atheists are un-American. Thanks Representative Brown! To quote the bill:

Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the symbols and traditions of Christmas should be protected for use by those who celebrate Christmas.

Whereas Christmas is a national holiday celebrated on December 25; and

Whereas the Framers intended that the First Amendment of the Constitution, in prohibiting the establishment of religion, would not prohibit any mention of religion or reference to God in civic dialog: Now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That the House of Representatives--

(1) recognizes the importance of the symbols and traditions of Christmas;

(2) strongly disapproves of attempts to ban references to Christmas; and

(3) expresses support for the use of these symbols and traditions by those who celebrate Christmas.

Seriously, what is it about South Carolina that produced douchebag Republicans? General Sherman burned down the wrong state.

*Incidentally, 1832 was the beginning of the Nullification Crisis, for those not up on American History.

Hello all,

I've been posting about military affairs at my other blog, but I felt that it would be too disruptive to post about atheist topics when the majority of posts there are intended to be focused on more professional military affairs. While there will be my own spin there, I wanted a place to focus on more broad atheist topics, and I hope that this blog will provide just that.
